El artista mendocino Miguel Carlos Mansilla está interesado en realizar una escultura en nuestra ciudad con motivos relacionados con la Fiesta Nacional de la Pelota de Fútbol.
Es así que, próximamente visitará Bell Ville y al dialogar con vecinos y recorrer distintos lugares, buscará fuentes de inspiración para la obra.
La idea es que el trabajo sea un identificador más de la cultura bellvillense en general y de la Fiesta de la Pelota de Fútbol en particular.
Mansilla tiene intención de donar la escultura, tal cual lo ha hecho con otros trabajos que se lucen por ejemplo en el ingreso de Tunuyán (“El Cuyano”), utilizando retazos de chapas y trozos de hierro liso.
También son de su autoría “El chancho” que está en la Posada del Jamón, el “Racimo de Uvas” a instalarse próximamente en el camino al Manzano Histórico de Tunuyán,” El Caballo” y “El Indio”, teniendo en construcción en la actualidad el busto del Gral. San Martín.
El artista es un hacedor cultural oriundo de Vista Flores, su gran terruño. Toda su vida transcurrió en ese distrito de Tunuyán, y es parte de la primera promoción de la escuela Julia Silva de Cejas. Desde joven su personalidad curiosa y entusiasta hizo de él una persona emprendedora y pujante, llevando los colores de su tierra por muchos lugares. Luego de terminar sus estudios, inauguró la primera ferretería del pueblo, fue concejal por Vista Flores y con el pasar de los años comenzó a realizar trabajos escultóricos en herrería.
